If you have successfully compiled and installed the SILC Plugin, you can
start your Irssi client and load the plugin with the following command:

   /LOAD silc

If this the first time you are loading the SILC Plugin, it will automatically
generate a new key pair for you. You are asked to enter a passphrase for
this key pair twice. If you leave the passphrase empty, you key will not be
stored encrypted.

If you have stored your key protected by a passphrase, the SILC Plugin will
now query this passphrase from you.

You should also load the perl scripts from the SILC Plugin distribution (you
should have installed them, if you have followed the instructions given in
the README file).

    /SCRIPT LOAD silc
    /SCRIPT LOAD silc-mime

You can now connect to the SILCNet:

    /CONNECT -silcnet SILCNet silc.silcnet.org

The most popular channel on the SILCNet is the channel silc, you will find
there people discussing about the SILC protocol, the different client
implementations, and the world in general. If you have further questions or
need some assistance with the SILC Plugin, join there and ask:

    /JOIN silc

Have fun
